James F. Frommer, Jr., D.O.
Diplomat, AOBFP, NBOME

Dr. Frommer is a Board Certified Osteopathic Physician with over 20 years of experience in Family Medicine, Osteopathic Manual Medicine, Regenerative Medicine and Sports Medicine.  A native of Bethlehem PA he completed his undergraduate degree in 1992 graduating from Lycoming College in Williamsport, PA with a BA in Chemistry.  During his time in Williamsport he was part of the Athletic Training program and completed the reuirments to sit for and successfully pass the National Athletic Trainer’s Association Board of Certification as a Certified Athletic Trainer.  He has the opportunity to work with each sport within Lycoming College’s Department of Athletics including the 1990 National Finalist Division III Football team.  

After graduation he moved to Philadelphia entering the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine as part of the Class of 1996.  Following an American Osteopathic Association Rotating Internship at the former Allentown Osteopathic Medical Center in Allentown PA he has the opportuiniyt to train in the field of General and Orthopedic Surgery prior to completion of his Family Medcine Residency at Temple University School of Medicine affiliate Sacred Heart Hospital in Allentown, PA.

Upon completion of his Residency he began as a private practice physician in his home town of Bethlehem, PA.   During that time he served as Team physician for several local high schools, Moravian College (now University) and worked with the Natioanlly Ranked Women’s Softball team making a trip to the NCAA Division III Women’s College Series in Salem Virginia.  He also served as Team Physician for the Philadelphia Force a one time member of the National Pro Fastpitch professional softball league. 

In addition to the above he was the Medical Director for several local high school PIAA Wrestling tournaments and Served as the Site Medial Director for the National Prep Wrestling Tournament which is held annually at Lehigh University.

He was the first physician who opened a Sports Concussion specific clinic in the Greater Lehigh Valley. 

Over the past several years he has continued to provide care to some of the most vulnerable individuals having worked within the Department of Corrections for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.  His experience does not stop there.  He has worked as a Hospitalist as well as an Emergency Room Physician and served those in Bedford County at a FQHC. 

Until his desire to return to his initial practice environment as a solo private physician he worked as an employed physician in a Private Practice in Blair County.

Dr. Frommer has a special interest in Neurology and Cardiology with additional training in Memory Disorders and Concussions.  He is Board Eligible in Prolotherapy and Regenerative Medicine

He is in the process of continuing his education in Functional Medicine, IV Therapy for nutritional support, BioIdentical Hormones and Nutritional Supplementation.

As a private physician he has created a program eligible to all in Remote Patient Monitoring and Chronic Care Management.

Dr. Frommer is married and has a Golden Retriever (his third) named Bella who is often found greeting and napping in his office.  He also has two other dogs named Kuzy and Carly that are Brittan Spaniel’s who keep Bella active.
